Objective: 

Build a fixture to test the image resolution in a endoscope. The camera in one of these scopes needs to be able to have clear images at very close up distances with varying light.

 

Process:

All the parts pointed out in the above imaged were designed in SolidWorks and either machined or 3d printed. All other parts were purchased and implemented into the fixture.

Result:

This fixture contains two linear stages allowing the fixture to glide along the 3D printed track shown in green. The track determines the distance the target is from the camera. The endoscope shaft containing the camera is placed between the two magnetic plates and aimed at the target.
