Purpose:
This project was done in an effort to expand the proximity sensing
capabilities at my second
co-op, Flex. I was tasked with making the enclosure for the this product, which would serve as a motion detection sensor for building security.

Proximity Sensor Enclosure
Process:
My job was to created a design that was focused on function, but still elegant and discreet.
The design consists of a top, bottom and "mount" that holds the power connector in place
When considering the industrial design, I created iterations out of foam and mounted them on a wall. The design that blended most seamlessly into the wall was chosen for the final version
Result:
To the right is an image of the final product, 3D printed using a HP multi-jet fusion printer.
The finished product is fully functional and is mounted in the display area in the office lobby.
