At my first co-op, I was asked to conducted tests to determine how many times the shaft of an endoscope could bend before it failed. To speed up 

the process, I design an automated fixture that could flex the shaft of the endoscope the same way a hand would. With this fixture the angle of rotation, speed of rotation, and repetitions of rotation could be set. Force and torque measurements were also recorded.
